Our Event

The Bobby Lane High School Cup is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization started by professional Major League Fishing Angler Bobby Lane Jr., a long-time resident of the Lakeland community. Bobby travels the country fishing tournaments with the support of his wife, three children, parents and extended family in Lakeland cheering him on.

This event started in conjunction with the Bartow Yellow Jackets Fishing Team and the Lakeland Jr. Bassmasters was established to further a love of fishing in our youth and raise money to provide scholarships to those students involved in the sport of bass fishing!

Scholarships

In 2021, the BLC proudly provided (17) $1,700 scholarships, facilitated through the Polk Education Foundation, to deserving high school seniors from Florida all the way to Kentucky. Students apply through PEF and are judged on community service, passion for fishing and involvement in lakes conservation.
